Description
Back to our home in Warsaw. Tobacco harm reduction is growing in influence and is increasingly accepted as a key component in improving the health of individuals and their communities. As always, the conference programme is driven by and reflects science and evidence. GFN is proud of its history in tackling controversial subjects head on, in respectful debate involving all stakeholders.
In this event we addressed challenges brought by misinformation, in THR and beyond; the question ‘is philanthropy a force for good in the THR space?; how can we have ‘grown up’ conversations about tobacco industry transformation?; why has the FCTC failed to significantly reduce smoking?; ‘It’s not all about vaping’, helping people who smoke to move along the harm continuum; is academic freedom in tobacco control now just a pipe dream?; and is regulation supporting or undermining efforts to tackle smoking?
Professor Brad Rodu received the Michael Russell Award, for his 25+ years researching and advocating for safer nicotine products to be available to smokers.
