The climate crisis and environmental inequalities make it necessary to rethink tobacco beyond the simple “smoke or not smoke” binary. THR, Ethics and Sustainability promotes a harm reduction policy aligned with the climate agenda and environmental justice: lowering risks for those who already smoke through reduced-risk products, without abandoning prevention or cessation. Building on Circular Vape Recycle, it analyses heated tobacco, nicotine pouches and snus, integrating tobacco harm reduction, public health, environmental bioethics and sustainability to guide decisions that protect both people and the environment.
