Association Between HTP Use Behavior and Incidence of Respiratory Symptoms -Part 2 (Product Use) - Yuki Kimura

An internet-based self-reported questionnaire survey was conducted in Japan in 2023 to evaluate the impact of heated tobacco (HTP) use on respiratory-related diseases and symptoms. The information on smoking habits before HTP use, including past smoking experience and health status before using HTPs was obtained. This report utilizes the data obtained from the survey to examine the relationship between HTP use behavior and the incidence of respiratory outcomes. Specifically, I focused on tobacco product differences as HTP use behavior and analyzed the relationship with the incidence of outcomes. As a result, a statistically significant difference in the incidence of outcomes was found between the HTP group and the CC group. However, there was no significant difference between the HTP products themselves, and the incidence was at the same level as the NS group.
