ENDS & Smoking Cessation in South Korea - James E. Prieger

Discusses research on the role that e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products (ENDS) can play in cessation, based on policy analysis and econometric study of Korean data. While ENDS use and smoking are positively correlated, that does not mean that ENDS use encourages smoking. The econometric results show that ENDS appear to help with cessation from smoking and that the policy positions of the Korean authorities are overly negative toward ENDS.
