Association Between HTP Use Behavior and Incidence of Respiratory Symptoms -Part 1 (Amount of Use) - Yuki Kimura
An internet-based self-reported questionnaire survey was conducted in Japan in 2023 to evaluate the impact of heated tobacco product (HTP) use on respiratory-related diseases and symptoms. The information on smoking habits before HTP use, including past smoking experience and health status before using HTPs was obtained. This report utilizes the data obtained from the survey to examine the relationship between HTP use behavior and the incidence of respiratory outcomes. Specifically, I focused on daily HTP use and analyzed its relationship with the incidence of respiratory outcomes. As a result, a dose-response relationship between daily HTP use and the incidence of respiratory outcomes was shown, with the impact of smoking before HTP use significantly contributing to this relationship.
